As with all La Canasta bags mediums are handmade, and naturally have a range of dimensions, colors, and small unique features. Yo! Y’all these are not factory made so there is variation and we have done our best to give you the best value and size in each range.There are no basket factories in Guatemala. Weavers are all independent and often can work from home, their own personal shops in a market, or in a co-op space. Many women make baskets in their home. As moms ourselves with children under foot, we appreciate being able to do a job that allows the family to be together. We work hard to maintain relationships with each of the basket makers and continue to buy regularly from each person. It takes us two weeks to get to every basket maker on our buying trips!

He is very, very thorough. Though please don’t include your bag in any crash test dummy testing. Also, don’t try to maim your bag ;) Common sense would tell you that if you try to cut, maim, modify, abuse, burn, drown, microwave or your kid takes sharpies to your bag we won’t be willing to replace. All joking aside, nothing in life is perfect and we don’t want you to worry. Just contact us to discuss. You will only pay for shipping and you can choose any bag of the same style and size. We obviously cannot promise that we have the same bag as they are mostly one of a kind!
